It has always been important for societies to learn from their history in order to not repeat its mistakes, but what happens when that history has been erased from the public’s knowledge? This idea and the repercussions that ensue from it is what the novel Code Breakers strives to tell and investigate. Focusing on concepts of the destruction of knowledge and historical revisionism, Code Breakers is the story of one who is chosen to keep the secret of her country, Cambaria, but instead leaves to reveal the censored history of the world to the public.
This exhibition is designed to expand on the story of Code Breakers for the viewer as if the novel is being turned into a feature film. The works displayed are meant to showcase and immerse the viewer in the plot, characters, and themes to be featured within the movie. And therefore, without further adieu, welcome to the world of Cambaria.
